Windows 11 Readiness

Happy Saturday all,

We are almost in the middle of 2023 and many companies started to check if their workstations are ready to move from Windows 10 to 11.

one of my clients was asking exactly the same question and of course, I referred them to

  • Windows 11 requirements so they can get more info about current and upcoming devices regarding Processor, RAM, Storage, TPM, etc.
  • Also, I mentioned how to check via Intune, so they can see the reasons but without details, by going to Intune> Endpoint Security> Endpoint Analytics> Work from anywhere> then select Window then you will get something like this

The client did not like the idea and wanted to get a report easy to read with more details.

here when I started looking for more reports like Power PI or other reports and found our fantastic partner System Center Dudes whom they have many amazing reports so I got this one from them.

this how you have to do, after you get the report from their website, you have to install it on your SSRS, just follow the steps below,

  1. Save the folder which has 2 (.rdl) files2. Oper your report server and I recommend creating a new folder for custom reports instead if keeping it with SCCM default reports, I create a folder named (SCD) System Center Dudes.

3. Upload the DRL file inside the new folder you just created in step (2) above which I named SCD, then click on the dots and “Manage”

4. In “Properties”  select the right “Data Source” exactly as shown in following screenshot.

5. Now System Center Dudes custom report is ready in your Report Server, this report can show you all details (your workstations readiness) with all reasons.

6. Also, you can run it from SCCM, you will see the same folder which I named (SCD) under reports .

I hope this will help you, and many thanks to System Center Dudes.
